Overalls have quite the storied history: Arriving on the scene as staple for farmers, workers, and militia in the 1700s, the uniform eventually made its way to the mainstream circa 1960. In the '80s, the silhouette had a major pop-culture moment (que acid-washed and with one shoulder unfastened), and in the '90s, it became the style du jour for toddlers (OshKosh B'Gosh, anyone?).
